Chris Lee

Chris Lee is President of Dallas, Texas-based Earthworks, which specializes in multifamily housing landscaping. He is a contributing author to Landscape Management magazine, licensed irrigation specialist and a Toro Intellisense certified technician. Chris studied business at the University of Arkansas from 1990-94 and horticulture and landscape design at Tarrant County College from 1999-01. He has been employed at Earthworks since 1998.

Lia Smith

Vice President of Education and Consulting, SatisFacts Research

Lia Smith career in training, property management and marketing began in the mid 1990′s. Lia began her training career at Nextel Communications, where she was responsible for training over 1,000 Customer Care Representatives. She then embarked on a new career in property management as a Leasing Associate with Lincoln Property Company, and steadily moved up the ranks. Lia was able to merge the worlds of training and property management when in 2006 she became Director of Training and Marketing at SPM Property Management, a 14,000+ unit portfolio; this included creating SPM Academy and a Learning Management System. She also developed and managed SPM’s resident feedback program, and was responsible for providing post-survey action planning support for property teams and management. Lia has proven experience in solving training and resident retention challenges for market, affordable, senior, tax credit and student communities. These experiences have helped Lia relate to both onsite and corporate associates. Lastly, Lia has presented at key industry events such as MultifamilyPro Brainstorming on topics related to developing the operational and service skills of onsite and executive level teams.  Lia Joined the SatisFacts team in 2011 as VP of Education and Consulting.


Tim Blackwell

Tim Blackwell is a long-time publishing and printing executive in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who provides online and print content in the multifamily housing, transportation and education industries. He is a published author and publisher for Cowcatcher Magazine, a regional rail enthusiast magazine distributed in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas and Missouri. Tim has worked as a reporter and editor for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Arlington Daily News and as Director Commercial Printing for The Dallas Morning News. He is a member of the Fort Worth Chapter/Society of Professional Journalists and graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Communications.

 

Jen Piccotti

Jen heads up client support for SatisFacts, including satisfaction survey analysis and action planning, process evaluations, educational services and special projects. Jen has over a decade of resident loyalty and process efficiency experience and is a multifamily industry veteran since 2000. A noted author and keynote speaker in the multifamily industry, and also named “quality assurance guru of multifamily” by CallSource, she has served as chair of the Service Quality Division for the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and has spearheaded their creation of an internationally recognized Service Quality Body of Knowledge. Previously, Jen was Quality Manager for a property management company in Southern California where she oversaw the quality assurance program, including resident loyalty programs, productivity studies, process improvement initiatives, QA training and organizational communication. Jen received her BSBA from Boise State, and Master of Science – Quality Assurance from Cal State / Dominguez Hills.

 



David Carner

President, LeasingDesk

LeasingDesk is the risk mitigation systems division of RealPage, Inc. (NASDQ: RP) - a Carrollton, Texas-based real estate information services company.  He is a frequent speaker on real estate risk mitigation best practices and fair credit policies.  Prior to his role with LeasingDesk , David previously served as RealPage’s Senior Vice President of Business Development and as President of CrossFire and OneSite Screening. He joined RealPage in 1996 as Director of Product Marketing and has served in various positions including, General Manager of Applicant Screening, Vice President of Sales Support, and Vice President of OneSite. From 1992 to 1996 he was the Vice President at Credit Interfaces, Inc., a leading provider of applicant screening software, which was acquired by RealPage in 1996. Mr. Carner received his B.A. in business from the University of Pittsburgh and his M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.

Gustavo Sapiurka is vice president and general manager of RealPage, Inc., Affordable Housing. Previously, he was general manager of Domin-8 Enterprise Solution Affordable Housing Division and CEO of TCG Technologies, LLC. RealPage is a leading provider of software and related services to the affordable housing industry. For the past 24 years, Gustavo has been very active in the affordable housing industry as a member of community-sponsored task forces dealing with automation issues and as an active member of many non-profit organizations.

Caren Bedsworth

Caren Bedsworth  is the community disaster education program coordinator for the Southern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross, which serves Clark, Esmeralda, Lincoln, and Nye Counties. Caren has been with the Red Cross since 1999, educating communities in disaster preparedness. She has been a CPR & First Aid instructor for humans and pets, first aid station leader, and disaster training instructor. She also served on disaster relief assignments to assist victims of hurricanes in Alabama and Florida and wildfires in Arizona.


John Robinson

John has more than 22 years experience in the multifamily industry. He has managed Venturi Clean in Denver for 19 years and more recently has served as regional manager, covering three states. He is certified in thermal imaging, including thermal remediation of bed bugs. John is also a certified carpet restorer, water restoration journeyman, and he has decades of experience in drying with the use of various forms of thermal drying systems.

Tracy Dean

Tracy has over 30 years of experience in the multifamily property management industry.  She spent ten years as a leasing consultant and property manager in the southwestern United States and then joined Rent Roll, Inc., the predecessor of RealPage, in 1989. Greg Willett

Greg Willett heads the research and analysis team at MPF Research, tracking and evaluating trends in multifamily market fundamentals. He thus is well versed on multifamily market conditions and activity nationally, by metro, and in many individual neighborhoods. Greg has written articles for periodicals such as Multifamily Executive, Urban Land, and Multifamily Trends, and is a regular contributor to numerous other publications serving the multifamily housing market. He also serves as the primary author of MPF’s Market Dynamics newsletter that highlights apartment sector news and insights from the MPF Research team of analysts. Greg began his tenure in the multifamily industry as a data analyst and later served as a research consultant specializing in feasibility evaluations of new apartment community development and existing property acquisition. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Southern Methodist University.



Henry Pye

Henry Pye is vice president, Technology Services. His team provides advisory services related to voice, video and data services, access control, audio-video and lifestyle technologies, and other low voltage amenities to multifamily developments, acquisitions, and existing communities. Henry has managed resident technology services for hundreds of communities in the U.S. and Canada. Previously, he led the JPI Resident Solutions team providing expertise and advice internally to JPI and third-party multifamily owners. Prior to that, he worked in JPI’s Luxury Multifamily Development, Luxury Multifamily Acquisitions, Student Living Development, Student Living Acquisitions, Market Research, Project Finance, and Information Services departments. He has authored numerous articles and is active in industry organizations and conferences. In 2002 and 2006, Broadband Properties Magazine included him in its quadrennial listing of the Most Influential People in Real Estate & Technology.
