Strength in Numbers: Tools for Success in Property Management
Successful property management professionals understand that relationships are the cornerstone of our business. From prospects and residents, to coworkers, to industry peers, it’s all about connecting with and learning from people. But are you leveraging your networks in the best way possible and maximizing the value of your relationships?
Knowledge sharing is key when it comes to understanding ways to build your business and overcome challenges. By connecting with the people who get it—who have walked in your shoes and faced the same challenges as you—you can gain invaluable insights that translate into property management success. There is strength in numbers, and when like-minded individuals come together to work as a group, opportunities multiply.
Education, advocacy and opportunities
To help facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing between the apartment housing industry and its national service partners, the National Apartment Association established the National Suppliers Council (NSC). The organization focuses on education, advocacy, and business opportunities for members in the industry.
“The NSC is working to bring more value to our members, and one of these ways is through our own track during NAA’s Apartmentalize,” said Mary Walsh, Vice President of Enterprise Sales at RealPage and member of the NSC Board of Directors.
NAA Apartmentalize is the multifamily property management industry’s largest conference, hosting over 10,000 attendees annually. At the conference, Walsh will join a panel of industry leaders from the NSC to share what tools property management professionals need to build their businesses and stand out from the competition. Attendees will learn how to leverage peers, clients, associations and online tools like LinkedIn to get ahead.
“Our session ‘Supplier Skills: Solution Incubator’ will be held in a round table format with discussions around various scenarios we, as supplier partners, face in this industry and with our clients. We will share common experiences and challenges, along with how to handle them,” said Walsh.
