Top Multifamily Conferences in 2016
Holy conference season for 2016! Let’s face it, budgets get smaller, time more precious, and we have too much to do at the office to leave for more than a minute. And then there are many multifamily industry conferences offering everything under the sun we’ll need to help us do our job more efficiently (and where we can get our continuing credits while we’re there). So when we can’t go to them all, which ones do we attend?
Here are Property Management Insider’s Top Picks:
So, this really isn’t fair. It’s already passed for 2016, but it occurs at the beginning of every year in the absolute WORST place on the planet to travel ever: Napa Valley, California. For those of you unsure, that was sarcasm. We love this summit, as it’s the only one that focuses entirely on social media and marketing specifically for multifamily. The class sizes are smaller, offering up more than enough opportunity to network and learn. And the speakers are top notch (shout out to past speakers Jay Baer, Erica Campbell Byrum, Julie Lyons at Zenzi, and Jade Smith from RealPage). Geared for senior and mid-level regional execs in property management. (Hashtag: #multifamilysms2016)
One of the rental housing industry’s most dynamic events! Coming up this year in Vegas July 17-19, attendees will not only get in their CEUs, but they’re in for a one-of-a-kind experience at the Wynn Hotel to see the bleeding edge in technology for multifamily, as well as hear from today’s leaders in multifamily (and single family) talk about practical case studies you can apply to your properties today.

There’s also hands-on training, collaborative roundtables, peer-to-peer networking and educational sessions for every area of the industry—revenue management and marketing to assets ops, and everything in between. As affordable as it is fun, early bird registration ends March 31. (Hashtag: #RWConf2016)
This June, the 2016 NAA Education Conference & Exposition will be heading to the sunny shores of San Francisco. Boasting more than 9,200 attendees annually, this conference stands as one of the largest in the apartment housing industry. Every year the agenda is jam-packed with sessions from industry heavy-hitters, speaking on the hottest topics and issues in the multi-housing space.

The exhibit hall features the latest in products and technology from over 450 suppliers and vendors. This conference is also home to Maintenance Mania, a one-of-a-kind competition where the best property maintenance teams compete for bragging rights. If looking for a place to network and learn with your peers, the NAA Education Conference & Exposition is not one to be missed. (Hashtag: #NAAEduConf)
The 2016 Multifamily Conference from Crittenden should be on any multifamily professional’s must-attend list. The engaging educational sessions offered will cover a broad range of industry topics, ranging from the changing landscape of the multifamily arena to foreign investment trends and insights. Network with some of the top players in the industry, including C-Level executives from major multifamily companies. It’s not too late to register for #MultiCon16, which will take place in Dallas from March 6 to 8.
